About Brian Kehlenbach

Brian Kehlenbach is a composer, educator, classical recitalist, and jazz pianist. He has performed widely on both the East and West Coasts. His original music reflects a diverse background - it is propulsive, rhythmic, and written in an eclectic style where jazz harmonies freely intermingle with classical forms and contemporary musical textures. Performances of his works have taken place on the Aries Composers Festival, the LA Philharmonic Green Umbrella series, the Charleston Piccolo Spoleto Festival, at Carnegie Hall, and in several venues across the country. He holds B.S. and M.M. degrees from the University of Connecticut and a Doctor of Musical Arts Degree from the University of Southern California. He is currently a faculty member in the Music Department at Santa Ana College in Orange County, California where he has served as Department Chair and Interim Dean of Fine and Performing Arts.
